Data on individuals supervised in the community under probation supervision are compiled by the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) and published annually in the Probation Survey. Past Probation Surveys can be found here. Probation includes all individuals (pre- and post-conviction) that are under a court order for supervision.
Note: Use caution when making year-to-year comparisons. The Probation Survey aggregates data from 87 different Minnesota counties under three different correctional delivery systems. The quality of data collection may vary across jurisdictions, and reporting protocols periodically change.
