The MSFCA COVID-19 Task Force has been extremely busy assisting with statewide fire service collaboration, communication, and support related to the COVID-19 crisis. The MSFCA office has been actively supporting the work of the Task Force. There is a dedicated section on the website where the Task Force is uploading files to assist fire departments across the state.

The State Fire Marshal Division is working closely with the MSFCA COVID-19 Task Force to ensure information is shared with the fire service across the state in a timely manner. Questions can also be submitted to COVID19@MSFCA.org.​ 

Departments are encouraged to maintain situational awareness through coordination and communication with their local emergency management officials. Requests for FAST teams or mutual aid should continue to be routed through the duty officer or other existing channels. However, we believe resources may become limited due to needs in multiple communities throughout state.

Resources are being added to the website regularly, including staffing information from IAFC, Stay at Home FAQ, and links to the Governor’s Executive Orders.
