2016 License Renewal

On April 5, 2016 the POST Board emailed the license renewal applications to the Chief Law Enforcement Officer (CLEO) of each law enforcement agency. 

For those who pay for their renewal online, an official license will be emailed immediately to the officer.

There are three renewal options:

1. Online payment and renewal by individual officer:

    a. Click the “online services” link on the home page at
    b. Register an online account.
    c. Fill out online renewal form, which includes affirmation of CE requirement.
    d. Pay with a credit/debit card or check routing number.
    e. USBank will assess a processing fee;
                                credit/debit card ($2.24)
                                check routing number ($1.50).

2. Individual renewal by officer:
    a. Agency prints renewal application.
    b. Distribute to individual officers for signature that affirms the 48 CE hours. 
    c. Have officers mail their form with a check OR see #1 above.

 3. Bulk renewal by agency:  (not available online)

    a. Print your renewal forms.
    b. Have individual officers sign their respective application that affirms 48 CE hours.
    c. Mail the completed application to POST with an agency check for the group.

  Mailed renewal applications must be received by 4:30 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016.

Online renewal services are available until 11:59 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016.
