About DPS

Finance Committee

The purpose of the Finance Committee is to advise the Statewide Emergency Communications Board on all matters which have a financial impact upon the board, its members and users of public safety communications systems across Minnesota.

A Grants Workgroup resides under the Finance Committee made up of a grant liaison from every region. These regional representatives meet quarterly to make recommendations to the Finance Committee and the SECB on how grants will be spent and how grant dollars will be distributed.

Committee Membership

The Bylaws of the Statewide Emergency Communications Board prescribes the membership of its Finance Committee as follows:

Membership is comprised of one primary and one alternate from each of the following: Minnesota Department of Transportation, Minnesota Indian Affairs Council or Tribal Government, the regional emergency services board for the metropolitan area, and one regional emergency communications or emergency services board from greater Minnesota.

The Current Membership Roster can be found below.

Meetings

The Finance Committee typically meets on the second Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. by conference call. Telephone conference call information and, when applicable, Internet connections for meetings will be provided at the top of the meeting’s agenda. The actual meeting date, time, and location can be found on the meeting’s agenda.
