The mission of the Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (AGED) is to maintain the integrity of legalized gambling by conducting gaming related background investigations and criminal investigations relating to lawful gambling, illegal (prohibited) gambling, Minnesota Lottery, pari-mutuel horse racing, lottery scams, and monitoring tribal reservation gambling in accordance with State and Tribal compacts. AGED also serves as the agency responsible for state liquor licensing and regulatory enforcement along with related state education programs and liquor initiatives.
Days/Hours of Work
Monday – Friday, up to 40 hours per week, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (days and hours flexible)
Ongoing for two positions until filled. Start/end dates are flexible.
Provide administrative and office support duties to aid in the daily operations of the division. Duties may include general office support and/or special project assignments that include fielding telephone calls or emails, word processing, filing, faxing, data collection, data entry, data management and data analysis.
College junior or senior with:
Strong communication and organization skills
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows 7 operating system
Valid driver’s license
Submit to and pass a driver and criminal history background checks
Must be able to work a minimum of 200 hours during the internship
