Safety / Workers' Comp

The DPS Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program covers more than 2,100 DPS employees, It also covers units like the statewide hazardous materials teams and bomb squads. The self insured, self administered program provides and coordinates claims management, disability management and managed health care for DPS employees who are injured on the job.

DPS Human Resources also provides safety, injury prevention, risk management, and health and wellness services for all DPS divisions and employees.
