Our hiring process

- All job postings are announced in the State of Minnesota Careers Portal as positions become available.
- You can view and apply for our current openings:
- External Applications
- Accessible Applicant Portal
- Current State of Minnesota Employees should apply in Self Service
- After the job posting closes, resumes, cover letters, applications, and screening questions are reviewed by human resources to determine who meets the minimum qualifications required for the position.
- Applicants who meet the required minimum qualification are forwarded to the hiring manager for review and may be contacted to complete further assessments and/or invited to interview.
- If you do not meet the required minimum qualifications, you will receive an email indicating that you are no longer being considered for the position. You may appeal this determination by following the instructions in the email.
- If there are a large number of applicants who meet the minimum qualifications, the pool of applicants may be narrowed down based on the preferred qualifications.
- After the interviews take place, the top candidate is selected. If you are selected, we will start the required background and reference checks. Human resources will have a conversation with you outlining the job offer details before sending you the offer letter.
- At any time in the selection process, you can check your application status.
- If you are no longer interested in a position for which you applied, you can select Withdraw on the My Job Applications page to be removed from consideration.
