Missing persons: 17-years-old or younger
When a child is missing, there are many questions – what to do, when to do it and how to do it. It is overwhelming.
The Department of Justice has created a family survival guide for those with missing children. It takes families through each step and gives a roadmap for moving forward.
Missing persons: adults (18-years-old or older)
Brandon's Law requires law enforcement to report and investigate (“without delay”) the disappearance of any person over 18 years of age. Review the requirements for Brandon's Law.

Report suspected human trafficking

Active missing and unidentified persons databases
- Minnesota: Look through the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's (BCA) Missing Person Clearinghouse for bulletins of current missing people in the state of Minnesota.
- U.S. and Minnesota: Search and filter through the federal NamUs database for missing persons and unidentified or unclaimed deceased persons across the country and in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Office of Justice Programs offers resources and services of crime victims on its victim services webpage.

- Missing persons data: Review yearly reports from the BCA for information on people reported missing in Minnesota.
- General crime data: search and sort homicide data and view trends in charts and graphs using the BCA's Crime Data Explorer.
