The MMIR Office strives to build partnerships and secure resources to ensure that prevention messaging reaches the next generation. This happens through in-person training opportunities, tabling in the community, online training opportunities, and downloadable resources. There is a special emphasis on making resources available that are vetted by professionals, age-appropriate, culturally responsive and trauma-informed.

Though she grew up just 30 minutes outside of Turtle Mountain, Willmar Public Library’s adult services librarian didn’t know about the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous relatives until she moved to Minnesota. Here, the scope of the epidemic came into sharp focus – through books.
