$3,000 Reward for Information in Hit and Run Case
Motorcyclist Still In Critical Condition- Information Needed
GAYLORD - Family members are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the full resolution of a tragic hit and run near Gaylord.
On Thursday, October 27, at approximately 10 p.m. John Byro, age 29, was riding his motorcycle when he collided with an unknown vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 19 and Hwy 5. The driver left the scene.
It is believed the unkown vehicle may be a light-colored passenger vehicle or SUV with damage to the rear or rear bumper.
Byro, who lives in Madelia, remains in critical conditon at this time.
He had completed two tours of duty in Iraq. His family is grateful John made it home safely after serving his country and they have been able to spend time with him since his return.
John is in his third year of college at Metropoliton State University in the Twin Cities. He wishes to continue in public service; John is enrolled in the Law Enforcement Program. His father, Dave Byro, shares - “John is the kind of person people gravitate to; everyone wants to be around him.”
