ST. PAUL — Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mona Dohman has reappointed Norman Pint to the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. Pint is reappointed to a four-year term that expires June 30, 2019.
Pint, of New Prague, has 34 years of law enforcement experience and is retired from the Department of Public Safety where he was acting director for the Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division from 1994 to 1995, August 1999 to August 2000, and August 2005 to January 2006.
The Minnesota Gambling Control Board regulates lawful gambling so that citizens are assured of the integrity of the industry and so that non-profit organizations can raise funds for charitable contributions. The board provides education, outreach and guidance to the lawful gambling industry through its ongoing programs. The board is made up of seven members, one of which is appointed by the commissioner of Public Safety.
