Fire service support team
About
Our fire service support team is a liaison between our office and Minnesota fire departments. The team consists of fire service specialists which also provide assistance as requested by fire department officials across Minnesota.
What they do
Our fire service support team assists fire departments upon request with the following:
- Emergency Incident Management support and Staging Manager support during large-scale operations or emergencies
- SFM drone program.
- Serving as the National Fire Academy state training point of contact.
- Fire department management assistance.
- Disciplinary issues.
- Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) training funding.
- Development of standard operating procedures and standard operating guidelines.
- Applying for Assistance to Firefighters Grants and other grant assistance.
- Fire protection contracts.
- Minimum credentials/requirements.
- Mutual aid agreements/joint powers agreements.
- Service Planning Grant Program information.
