The purpose of the Finance Committee is to advise the Statewide Emergency Communications Board on all matters which have a financial impact upon the board, its members and users of public safety communications systems across Minnesota.
A Grants Workgroup resides under the Finance Committee made up of a grant liaison from every region. These regional representatives meet quarterly to make recommendations to the Finance Committee and the SECB on how grants will be spent and how grant dollars will be distributed.
The Finance Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month. Meeting materials must be submitted to the committee coordinator no later than ten days prior to the meeting. This Committee typically meets by conference call; please see the meeting agenda for details.
Minutes will be posted when they approved by the board. Minutes are reviewed during the meeting immediately following any meeting of the board for which minutes are taken; e.g., minutes taken for the May meeting will be posted in June, and minutes taken for the June meeting will be posted in July.
Please note that agenda items and meeting materials must be submitted nine business days in advance of the meeting.
The next meeting of the SECB Finance Committee will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 9:00 a.m.by conference call. Agenda items for the April meeting must be submitted by Friday, March 31.
