Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) - Elk River- 2Day
This 16-hour initial Standardized Field Sobriety course will guide police officers through the process of a DWI investigation from the traffic stop, face-to-face interview, SFSTs, e-charging/processing, report writing, and courtroom testimony. This class will incorporate classroom discussion, PowerPoint presentations and practical application of SFST’s using a drinking lab. Upon completion officers will be better able to detect and remove impaired drivers from the roadway and prepare a case suitable for successful prosecution
This is NOT a refresher class. This course is for officers who have not yet received the initial full 2-day SFST course of instruction. This course will NOT involve the 8-hour ARIDE class. ARIDE is now offered to officers separately one year after the initial 2-day SFST course.
