​ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has confirmed a second Stillwater police officer fired his service weapon during a use-of-force incident in Stillwater on March 4.

• Sgt. Daniel Young fired his department handgun. He has 12 years of law enforcement experience. He is on standard administrative leave.

The BCA Force Investigations Unit continues to actively investigate this incident. When the investigation is complete, the BCA will present its findings without a charging recommendation to the Washington County Attorney's Office for review.​
