MN-LESO

HSEM is the state administrator for 10 USC 2576a which is facilitated by the Defense logistics Agency's, Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO). The LESO program, established by the congress, authorizes the transfer of excess Department of Defense (DoD) property to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Agencies approved to participate may obtain excess property and equipment for any bona fide law enforcement need.

All transferred items must have a direct application to the law enforcement agency's arrest and apprehension mission.​

Process

Enrollment

In order to participate in this program, agencies must be officially enrolled. To apply, complete the following documents and email them to MN-LESO at: MN.LESO@state.mn.us.​

Application for Participation
This document provides basic information about your department, lists points of contact, and who is allowed to screen at a Defense Logistics Agency- Disposition Services Site. This needs to be updated whenever your agency information changes.
