Public information troopers carry the message of the Minnesota State Patrol to educate the public and work with the media to communicate important traffic safety messages. Through these educational efforts, troopers hope to change driving behavior by showing the tragic results of poor decision making and the consequences of taking risks or breaking the law.
The four public information troopers are stationed across the state. One of their important roles is to partner with local civic groups and educational leaders to encourage safe driving behaviors. They present at schools and other public events to showcase videos and discuss traffic safety with young drivers.
