Sample Prosecution Letters

OJP has developed a set of sample prosecution letters that cover the wide variety of notification letters that must be sent to victims during the course of a prosecution. The sample letter set and model notice below are in Word so that they can be customized by the prosecutor's office.

Crime Victim Rights (brochure)

The Crime Victim Rights brochure satisfies the prosecutor's statutory obligation under Minnesota Statutes section 611A.02(c).

Both the Post Conviction brochure and model notice satisfy the prosecutor's obligation under Minnesota Statutes section 611A.039, subd. 1. Sample postconviction notification request forms that victims can complete are included in the set of Sample Prosecution Letters to Victims.

Crime Victim Brochures

OJP has crime victim brochures available to prosecutors' offices at no cost.

To request, complete and submit the Materials Order Form.

For those offices who wish to create their own crime victim rights brochure, a Word template is available to assist in that process.  English | Spanish
