The Residential Care and Lodging Team (RCLT) conducts fire safety inspections in hotels throughout Minnesota; conducts initial fire safety inspections of all Department of Human Services-licensed facilities, including licensed day care centers, certified day care centers, family child care homes, adult day care centers, adult day services, day training and habilitation, child foster care, chemical dependency treatment and mental health treatment facilities; conducts fire safety inspections on request from local fire departments in response to complaints of fire safety violations; provides training on fire code requirements to child care and foster care licensors, providers and local fire marshals.
