Committed to Safety Through Education

MNOPS partners with the Gopher State One Call Board, local Utility Coordinating Committees and individual organizations to present over 80 excavation damage prevention educational seminars each year.  As a result of the excellent public/private partnership to enhance communications, educate excavators and provide fair and consistent enforcement of the One-Call laws, excavation related damages in Minnesota have declined by more than 70 percent since 1994.

The National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM), working with a cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), unveiled an updated and customized second edition of the award-winning Pipeline Emergencies training curriculum.
