Human Trafficking Reports

Minnesota Statute 299A.785 was passed in 2005, requiring the Dept. of Public Safety to complete annual studies of human trafficking in Minnesota. Specifically, this statute requires information on:

  • The numbers of arrests, prosecutions and successful convictions of traffickers and trafficking related offenses
  • Statistics on the number of trafficking victims, including demographics, method of recruitment and method of discovery
  • Trafficking routes and patterns, states or countries of origin and transit states or countries
  • Social factors that contribute to and foster trafficking, especially trafficking of women and children

In 2009, the statute was amended to require biennial reports to the legislator. All reports submitted to the legislature are listed below.
