Minnesota State Patrol 911 dispatchers are often the first voice heard in a person's moment of crisis. Dispatchers are an important link between someone needing assistance and members of the State Patrol, who are here to serve. The State Patrol has two regional dispatch centers called Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). Each center processes emergency (911 Calls) and non-emergency calls for service, while dispatching for multiple state and federal agencies. In the event of a catastrophic event at either location, each center has the ability to provide service to the entire state.
More than 50 dispatchers answer approximately 500,000 911 and non-emergency calls and dispatch troopers to calls across the state each year.
