Alcohol
AGE's special investigators conduct inspection and compliance visits to licensed liquor establishments to ensure they are following rules and requirements laid out by our state liquor laws and guidelines, which include promotion and trade practice violations, and illegal advertising promotions.
Off-sale alcohol sales during the holiday season
The holiday season is here, and Minnesotans are looking forward to celebrating with friends and family. It’s a busy time for liquor stores, brewpubs and other businesses that provide off-sale alcohol to customers. Remember that per state statute, off-sales are not allowed:
- On Thanksgiving Day
- After 8 p.m. on Dec. 24. If Dec. 24 falls on a Sunday, then it is 6 p.m.

Stay safe and enjoy the holiday season!
