Limited use vehicle dealer licensing overview

Limited use vehicle dealer licenses may be provided to a nonprofit charitable organization that qualifies for tax exemption under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code whose primary business in the transfer of vehicles is to raise funds for the organization.

The charitable organization may acquire vehicles for sale through donation and use a licensed motor vehicle auctioneer to sell vehicles to individuals, or may sell and reassign vehicles to a licensed motor vehicle dealer.
