Motor vehicle auctioneer dealer licensing overview
A licensed motor vehicle auctioneer dealer may sell, solicit and advertise the sale of used motor vehicles belonging to others at auction.
A licensed motor vehicle auctioneer dealer is not required if a licensed auctioneer is selling motor vehicles incidental to the sale of other real or personal property in the ordinary course of the auctioneer's business. Incidental means up to a total of ten but no more than ten percent of the items in the posted auction bill are motor vehicles.
