Specialty Units

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The State Patrol also has specialty units that respond to a variety of incidents. That includes Honor Guard events and civil disturbances​, disasters or emergencies that require our Mobile Response Team (MRT) or Special Response Team (SRT).​​

Our Honor Guard provides ceremonial services at law enforcement and state government events as well as line-of-duty funerals for fallen officers and troopers both in-state​ and around the country.  Additionally, they provide ceremonial services at trooper retiree funerals.

Our MRT is made up of troopers specially training to respond to civil disturbances, disasters or emergencies.

Our SRT ​provides tactical operations support for the Minnesota State Patrol and allied agencies. SRT provides SWAT related services on high risk calls.
