​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The State Patrol has specialty units that focus on responding to particular incidents. They are specially trained for events like civil disturbances​, ceremonial services, disasters or emergencies.​​

Honor Guard​​

Our Honor Guard provides ceremonial services at events including:

  • Law enforcement and state government events  
  • Funerals for fallen officers and troopers, both in Minnesota and around the country
  • Trooper retiree funerals

Mobile Response Team (MRT)

Our MRT is made up of troopers specially trained to respond to civil disturbances, disasters or emergencies.

Special Response Team​ (SRT)

Our SRT provides tactical operations support for the Minnesota State Patrol and allied agencies. SRT provides Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) related services on high-risk calls, search and rescue operations, and dignitary protection.
