Public information officers dashboard

Public information officers carry the message of the Minnesota State Patrol to educate the public and work with the media to communicate important traffic safety messages. Through these educational efforts, troopers hope to change driving behavior by showing the tragic results of poor decision-making and the consequences of taking risks or breaking the law. 
 
They also partner with local civic groups and educational leaders to encourage safe driving behaviors, and they present at schools and other public events to discuss traffic safety with young drivers.
 
Currently, the three public information officers handle various regions of the state:
