Endangered Missing Person Alerts
Endangered Missing Person Alerts are issued statewide when the investigating agency believes that the missing person may be at risk of physical injury or death.
Endangered Missing Person Alerts are issued by local law enforcement agencies or, sometimes, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) will issue an alert at a local agency’s request.
When an alert is issued, it will include a description of the missing person and information on how you can help find them.
Information for families of missing people
If your family member is missing, it is important to report it to law enforcement right away. File a report with the law enforcement agency where they were last seen or their place of residence. Get information on what you will need to provide to law enforcement.
Missing and Unidentified Persons Clearinghouse
Local agencies may request that information about a missing person be posted on the BCA’s Missing and Unidentified Persons Clearinghouse. You can go to the Clearinghouse web page to view information about missing people.
