Fingerprinting

BCA In-Person Background Check Services Are Open; Fingerprinting Available By Appointment Only

​In-person background check services are available at the BCA. Fingerprinting services are available BY APPOINTMENT only. To request an appointment for fingerprinting services, please call 651-793-2410.

Individuals coming to the BCA for fingerprinting or background checks are asked to follow current CDC face covering guidance while in the building. Space for social distancing in the lobby is limited; please do not bring others with you.​​

​Applicants must have a valid government-issue​d identification (State issued driver’s license or ID, U.S. Passport, U.S. Active Duty/Retiree/Reservist Military ID, etc.). If your ID is expired, remember to bring your renewal slip or you will not be able to get fingerprinted.​

Immigration Forms Requiring Photo

Some immigration forms require applicants to provide both fingerprints and a photograph. Individuals wishing to be fingerprinted at the BCA for this purpose must provide the immigration form with the photo already attached. The BCA will not fingerprint individuals who submit immigration forms that do not have a photo attached.

Fingerprinting for DHS Background Studies

If you require fingerprinting for a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study, please contact DHS for a list of locations where the fingerprints may be obtained. The BCA cannot complete fingerprinting for this purpose.

Fingerprinting Minors

Individuals who need fingerprinting for a minor child should first contact the BCA for specific requirements.

Cost

$10 per fingerprint card

Acceptable payment methods include cash, or personal check, or money order/cashier's check. Checks are made payable to the BCA.
