The BCA is closed to the public, but will provide limited fingerprinting services for critical infrastructure positions BY APPOINTMENT beginning on Monday, June 8, 2020, and effective until further notice. The BCA has made this temporary change to help ensure social distancing for members of the public and BCA staff. To request an appointment for fingerprinting services, please call 651-793-2410. You will be asked to review a Wellness Screening Advisory, Wellness Screening questions and will be required to wear a face covering. Access to the building is limited to individuals with an appointment. Please do not bring others with you to your appointment..
Applicants must have a valid government-issued identification (State issued driver’s license or ID, U.S. Passport, U.S. Active Duty/Retiree/Reservist Military ID, etc.). If your ID is expired, remember to bring your renewal slip or you will not be able to get fingerprinted.
Immigration Forms Requiring Photo
Some immigration forms require applicants to provide both fingerprints and a photograph. Individuals wishing to be fingerprinted at the BCA for this purpose must provide the immigration form with the photo already attached. The BCA will not fingerprint individuals who submit immigration forms that do not have a photo attached.
Fingerprinting for DHS Background Studies
If you require fingerprinting for a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study, please contact DHS for a list of locations where the fingerprints may be obtained. The BCA cannot complete fingerprinting for this purpose.
Individuals who need fingerprinting for a minor child should first contact the BCA for specific requirements.
