- Minors (under age 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Minors aged 16-18 who possess a valid driver’s license or state identification card can be printed without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Minors under age 18 requirements
There must be a clear paper trail linking the adult to the minor. The accompanying adult must provide valid legal documents to show proof of guardianship:
- Minor’s birth certificate
- Adoption paperwork
- Foster care paperwork
- Other legal documents
The provided documents must include the accompanying adult’s name.
- The adult must provide a valid government-issued photo identification.
- If the adult’s name differs from the one on the minor’s documents, proof of name changes is required. This can include the following:
- Adult’s birth certificate
- Marriage licenses
- Divorce decrees
- Other legal documents
