CDL Class A

A class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) allows you to drive a class A vehicle. It is valid for four years and can be renewed.

Class A vehicle

A Class A vehicle is any vehicle towing a unit of more than 10,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) with a gross combination weight rating (truck plus trailer) over 26,000 pounds. You need a valid, unexpired Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to drive a Class A vehicle.
