CDL Class B
A class B driver’s commercial driver's license (CDL) allows you to drive a class B vehicle. It is valid for four years and can be renewed.
Class B vehicle
A Class B vehicle is a single-unit that is over 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). You can usually find the plate that lists the GVWR on the driver side door frame.
A class B vehicle may pull a trailer that is less than 10,000 pounds GVWR.
Examples of Class B vehicles are school buses, city buses, garbage trucks and delivery trucks over 26,000 pounds GVWR.
