Standard passenger license plates
Standard Passenger plates are displayed on motor vehicles designed and used for carrying no more than 15 people including the driver. This includes pickup trucks and vans with a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of three-quarter ton or less, as well as one-ton passenger vans.
Registration must be purchased by the last day of the expiration month. The registration stickers must be affixed on the plate no more than 10 days after that.
License plates issued to passenger automobiles are replaced every seven years.
Plate display
Passenger license plates are required to be displayed horizontally and in an upright position with the identifying numbers and letters facing outward. The expiration month is in the lower left corner, and the expiration year is in the lower right corner.

For fastest service, apply online or visit your nearest deputy registrar office.
