DPS UPDATE - Officers identified in Midway Township officer involved shooting

The two officers who discharged their weapons during an officer involved shooting incident in Midway Township on February 11, 2016, have been identified.

Officer Kristy Hansen is an 11 year veteran of the Hermantown Police Department.
Trooper Andres Gomez has been with the Minnesota State Patrol for two years.

Both remain on standard administrative leave. When the BCA’s investigation is complete, the BCA will turn its findings over to the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office for review.
