One Arrested for Soliciting Sex with a Minor During Undercover Operation

ST. PAUL — One man is facing felony charges following his arrest for attempting to solicit a minor for sex.

Investigators with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA)-led Human Trafficking Investigators Task Force, the East Metro Sex Trafficking Task Force (EMSTTF), the Tribes United Against Sex Trafficking (TRUST) Task Force and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation on September Sept. 13 , 2022 in Ham Lake. During the operation, suspects chatted on several social media platforms with undercover agents and investigators who posed as minors. Investigators arrested one man who arrived at an arranged meeting place for an encounter.

• David Crevier, 38, of Minneapolis was arrested and booked into the Anoka County Jail. He has since been released and will be charged via formal complaint.

“Every time we can stand between a child and someone who wants to victimize them, it’s a win,” said BCA Superintendent Drew Evans. “Our task force and partner agencies will continue working to be that shield so every child can live in safety.”

Many additional agencies lent resources to this enforcement effort including the Blaine Police Department, Coon Rapids Police Department, Fridley Police Department, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, Ramsey County Attorney’s Office and the Anoka County Attorney’s Office.

“It’s tragic that we live in a world where people would victimize children, but as long as we do, our team will continue working to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators,” said Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger of being trafficked, call 911. To report a suspected trafficking situation, call the BCA at 877-996-6222 or email bca.tips@state.mn.us. The Minnesota Human Trafficking Investigators Task Force (MNHITF) provides statewide law enforcement response for the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
