The Minnesota Fusion Center is a section of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA). Founded in 2005, the Minnesota Fusion Center is a mechanism through which government, law enforcement, public safety, and private sector partners can share information related to threats to public safety, homeland security, critical infrastructure and key resources within Minnesota.
The U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security supports the establishment of fusion centers in every state to coordinate information-sharing functions between federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement, other public safety agencies and the private sector. Fusion centers provide an environment where the stakeholders work together to gather information, analyze data and share information to improve the ability to fight crime and terrorism locally, regionally and nationally.
Minnesota Fusion Center Mission: The mission of the Minnesota Fusion Center is to collect, evaluate, analyze and disseminate information regarding organized criminal, terrorist and all-hazards activity in Minnesota, while complying with state and federal law to ensure the rights and privacy of all.

First responders - Members of state or local fire departments, emergency medical services and rescue squads in either government or private employment are eligible for membership.
Military force protection - Anti-terrorism/force protection officers and those who provide intelligence that directly supports an anti-terrorism/force protection mission can sign up for a Partners membership. Military law enforcement who are authorized to receive Law Enforcement Sensitive information should sign up as a Law Enforcement member, but will still receive Partners products.
Government sector - State, local, or federal government employees.
| The Minnesota Fusion Center provides for Partners a platform for federal and Minnesota state agencies to share information with individuals who are associated with public safety and have an interest in issues pertaining to emergency management and homeland security covering designated critical infrastructure sectors.
The Minnesota Fusion Center also provides Partners with situational awareness updates on incidents that could either directly or indirectly affect their organization in Minnesota.

Annual reports
Minnesota Statute § 299C.055 requires the BCA to prepare an annual report by Feb. 15 of each year for the public and the legislature on Minnesota Fusion Center activity for the preceding calendar year. This requirement was passed into law in 2023 and thus the report issued regarding 2023 activities is the first annual report.
