HSEM has a team of experts that help communities recover from disaster.  These experts help Minnesotans determine if their town qualifies for state and federal disaster money or, in some cases, financial assistance for individuals. 

 

Recovering from a disaster is a complex process. All disasters are different and the needs of victims and communities all recovering from the same event can vary greatly.  The pages listed here provide information on disaster recovery programs that may be available following a major disaster to assist victims in recovery. Not all programs are available for all events and additional resources may be established to address the needs for specific events through executive or legislative actions.
