About
Through a partnership with MnDOT, the State Patrol operates transportation operations communications centers (TOCCs) in two locations throughout greater Minnesota as well as the Twin Cities’ Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) in Roseville.
RTMC and TOCCs bring together the resources of the State Patrol and MnDOT to serve as communications hubs for emergency response, enforcement, transit services, maintenance operations, traffic management, and traveler information.
State Patrol Radio Communications Operators (RCOs) serve as the vital link between the motoring public and the troopers who respond to calls for service. RCOs not only monitor and assist in gathering information for troopers in the field; they also answer thousands of calls for service each month and advise troopers where they are needed in a time of crisis.
