Rules Governing School Bus Driver Qualifications and Medical Qualifications for a Commercial Driver’s License
Summary:
In order to comply with federal regulations in this area, the
Department adopted rule amendments and new rules that establish procedures for the Department to collect and record driver’s self-certification data and medical certificates or waivers from persons holding commercial
driver’s licenses, and to establish procedures for the downgrade of
commercial driver’s licenses.
Amendments to rules relating to Medical Qualifications for a Commercial Driver's License, Minnesota Rules, parts 7414.0100,
7414.1460,
7414.1550 and
7414.1600 and
Chapter 7421, were effective five working days after the Notice of Adoption was published in the
State Register on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 (Cite
36 SR 809). The proposed rules were published in the
State Register on Monday, October 10, 2011 (Cite
36 SR 401).
