Summary:
The amendments to parts 7409.3600, 7503.0100, 7503.0800, 7503.1300, 7503.1700, 7503.1800, the repeal of part 7503.1800, subpart 7, and new parts 7503.1650, 7503.1675, 7503.1725, and 7503.1775 make substantive as well as conforming changes affecting alcohol rehabilitation requirements, issuance of a limited license, driver’s license revocation periods and certain ignition interlock device program requirements. The rules are needed as a result of 2010 law changes relating to DWI and implied consent sanctions, the termination of ignition interlock device pilot program, and the enactment of a permanent ignition interlock device program that becomes effective July 1, 2011.
Amendments to Rules Relating to Driving Privileges; Loss, Reinstatement and Driver’s License Revocation, Incidents, Minnesota Rules, parts 7409.3600, 7503.0100, 7503.0800, 7503.1300, 7503.1650, 7503.1675, 7503.1700, 7503.1725, 7503.1775 and 7503.1800 were effective upon publication in the State Register on Monday, June 27, 2011 (Cite 35 SR 2019).
