Summary: In order to comply with federal regulations in this area and with Laws 2010, chapter 316, the Department adopted rule amendments that prescribe identity and residency requirements for the issuance of enhanced driver's licenses (EDL) and enhanced identification cards (EID).

 

Amendments to rules relating to Driver Information, License Testing, , Minnesota Rules, parts 7410.0100, 7410.0400 and 7410.0410, were effective five working days after the Notice of Adoption was published in the State Register on Monday, May 7, 2012 (Cite 36 SR 1353). The proposed rules were published in the State Register on Monday, November 7, 2011 (Cite 36 SR 539).
