Community Engagement

Community engagement plays an important role in the State Patrol’s mission. Engaging with community members helps us educate motorists on the importance of traffic safety and connect with our community. With traffic fatalities being one of the leading causes of death for our youngest drivers, we can use that connection to teach them about the devastating consequences of making poor choices behind the wheel. Additionally, resources are dedicated to educating our commercial motor carriers and drivers on the latest training and complex regulations to which this industry must adhere. The information below highlights our commitment to traffic safety and education through our outreach with the public.

In addition to being continually invested in community and school events throughout the state, we also connect with the public annually at these events:

  • The Minnesota State Fair
  • Farm Fest
  • Twin Cities Auto Show
  • Back to the 50's
  • Big Iron Farm Show
