​​​​Our Vehicle Crimes Unit (VCU) has six Investigators assigned throughout the state. Three investigators are located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, one in the northern region (Detroit Lakes area), one in the central region (St. Cloud area) and one in the southern region (Rochester area). The VCU is responsible for investigating unpaid motor vehicle taxes, dealer fraud related to motor vehicle registration and illegal or improper activity related to the sale, transfer, titling and theft of motor vehicles.
